Toddler dies after fall from window
A 2 1/2-year-old toddler was killed Saturday in Reston when he fell out of a third-story townhouse window in what appeared to be a “tragic accident,” Fairfax County police said.
The incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. in the 11000 block of Heritage Oak Court. The window was open but was covered by a screen, said county police spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell. A sibling and a parent were home at the time. The, who boy lived at the house, was pronounced dead at a hospital, Caldwell said.
Police were still investigating Saturday night, Caldwell said. Further details were not available immediately.
