Breezing to the beach
After Hurricane Earl breezed well east of the Maryland and Delaware beaches, early evening travelers breezed easily over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge early Friday evening, an hour when normal holiday weekend traffic would have been inching across. Worries about whether Earl would hit the resorts harder may have deterred some would-be beach goers, but many may have postponed the trip until late Friday or early Saturday morning.
