Man struck by Metro train at Gallery Place station

By Washington Post Editors

A Red Line Metro train struck a man shortly before 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning as a train pulled into the Gallery Place-Chinatown station. The train was headed toward Shady Grove.

The platform at the station and the Judiciary Square station were closed for about an hour while rescue crews removed the man and transported him to the hospital. Metro transit police have not released a cause of the incident, which is still under investigation.

I guess Metro wasn't happy just hitting people with buses so they decided to use trains. LOL
