Metro to stay on heightened alert for several weeks

Get There is reporting that Metro will maintain its heightened security alert through the upcoming Nuclear Security Summit scheduled in Washington in a few weeks.
The action follows the bombings of two subway stations in Moscow early Monday.

Metro on heightened alert after Moscow bombing
Metro says it will conduct random station and rail yard sweeps Monday after terrorist attacks on subway stations in Moscow.
Locations of the station sweeps are not being announced in advance. Expect to see more Metro Transit Police officers and K-9 teams throughout the day.
