Truck driver killed in I-95 crash
A tractor-trailer loaded with tires crashed and burned Tuesday on Interstate 95 in Virginia, killing the driver and blocking traffic for a time.
The crash occurred about 3 p.m. in the southbound lanes about 15 miles south of Fredericksburg . The left front tire of the truck blew, causing the vehicle to run off the right side of the road, Virginia State Police said. The rig overturned and caught fire. The driver’s name was withheld until relatives could be notified.

oh, the irony.
first, $5 says the truck was running retreads. I see these sites all over now, selling retreaded tires.
Second, it doesn't make sense that it would run off the right side of the road and flip over just because the left front tire blew. The truck should pull to the left if anything...maybe the driver overcorrected and flipped it. Then overturned and caught fire...sounds like bad maintenance all around.
What a mess that must have been on i95 at 3pm though.
