Two rescued from Washington Channel
Two people were plucked from the Washington Channel late Friday afternoon after their sailboat capsized, a D.C. fire department spokesman said.
The fire department’s fire boat rescued the two about 5 p.m. on a breezy afternoon said D.C. fire and emergency medical services department spokesman Pete Piringer.
He said one of two, a male teenager, was taken to a hospital for a checkup.
