UDC closes due to heat
Officials at the University of the District of Columbia canceled all campus activities at its Van Ness campus on Wednesday due to the hot weather. Officials said classes and activities will resume as normal on Thursday.
Classes also were canceled at another area college, Towson University, because of a water shortage.
