Virginia has upgraded its state government Web site.
The enhancements announced Wednesday include geospatial mapping, transparency resources, real-time social networking feeds, improved organization, a blog-like news feature and citizen rating tools.
Sam Nixon, the state's chief information officer, says the improvements demonstrate Virginia's commitment to fostering innovation, promoting transparency and increasing online service delivery.
