Virginia man shot by fellow hunter
Virginia officials say a Virginia Beach man is in serious condition after being shot by another member of his hunting party in Nelson County.
The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries says 50-year-old Paul Arnold was shot Thursday in the upper thigh by a bullet from a .270 rifle as he walked away from his stand.
Officials told The Daily Progress that the shot was fired by 58-year-old Johnny Edmonds of Alberta.
The University of Virginia Medical Center listed Arnold in serious condition on Friday.
The incident is under investigation by the game department.
