Alexandria man strangled at Va. state hospital

By Washington Post editors

An Alexandria man who was a patient at Central State Hospital was strangled to death in his room, the state medical examiner's office has ruled.

The Richmond Times Dispatch reported that Justin L. Davis, 22, was found Feb. 28 by staff members of the hospital's forensic mental health unit. The medical examiner's office said he was the victim of a homicide as a result of "asphyxia due to neck compression."

His death is now being investigated as a homicide.
