Amber Alert issued for missing Va. toddler
Police are looking for a Roanoke toddler who was taken from his home by three men. An Ambert Alert was issued Friday morning for 2-year-old Aveion Malik Lewis.
Police say the men knocked Lewis' stepfather unconscious and took the boy late Thursday afternoon. They left a note asking for money.
The men may be traveling in a white 1990s Chevrolet Blazer.
The boy is described as black with close-cut black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing yellow SpongeBob Squarepants footie pajamas.
Police say the suspects are a 6-foot-2 black male in his late 20s with a stocky build and beard; a 5-foot-11 black male in his late 20s with dreadlocks and a muscular upper body; and a 5-foot-11 black male, 23 to 24 years old, with no facial hair.

There is certainly more to this than the what the story was painted to be on here so far.
I hope they will follow up and clarify. Why is this not on the TODAY Show? O...because he's just a little Black baby....GOD be with him...

I must admit your chances of heavy national media attention improve if the missing child is a pretty 8-year-old white girl. Nancy Grace does her bit I must say. Why do you steal babies for ransom if the parents/family aren't rich? Kidnapping is a felony investigated by the FBI. You want to take that risk for $3000 or so? Find the perps, barbeque their testicles & throw 'em in the dungeon.

There's more to this story. The men who took the child were relatives and someone is lying, it was a drug deal gone bad, etc. But WaPo seldom follows up on such stories so we'll probably never know what really happened.

Most Amber Alerts seem to be related to some kind of custody situation.
Since the baby stepdaddy was knocked down, bet these guys were the baby daddy + some friends.
Note = lie; subterfuge

I will be praying that little boy is returned home safe...but i must agree with everyone it seems like there's much more to the story than what we are told...

We have to figure out a way to deal with teenagers & young men in their twenties. They're the ones responsible for the most crime. These three are geniuses. You know they'll be caught quickly. Thugs can never keep their mouth shut for long & always have pals who are looking to sell them out. Might as well just put them in prison for the rest of their lives. Saves us from having the hassle of arresting them 9-10 times in the future. Trials. Lawyers. Back & forth to prison. Some people will do anything to get out of working for a living.
