Body found in Fairfax home after fire
Firefighters discovered a body in a Fairfax home while battling a blaze, WUSA 9 reports.
Officials were called to home in the 10900 block of Orchard Street about 7 a.m. They found fire coming from the basement, which then spread to the first floor.
Firefighters initially could not enter the home because of something blocking the door. Once they entered they found the body.
WTOP reports that the body was that of a man who was found dead in a bedroom along with a dog.
