Body found in Spotsylvania lake
The body of a 20-year-old man has been recovered from a Spotsylvania County lake.
The Spotsylvania County sheriff's office says the body of Stephen R. Shipe of Midland was recovered from one of the lakes at the Wilderness Camping Resort on Wednesday.
The sheriff's office says the victim and others had decided to swim across the lake at about 2:30 a.m. Shipe was last seen in the water and his body was recovered eight hours later about 30 yards from shore.
