Boy, 6, dies after Va. pool incident
A 6-year-old boy from Prince William County died in what county police described as an accidental drowning in a private pool.
Police said the boy died Tuesday at a hospital after being found Saturday in a pool in the 13700 block of Rayburn Court, where the boy and his mother had been attending a gathering.
The boy had been seen in the shallow end of the pool but then “was noticed in the deep end,” police said. After he was brought out, neighbors and then police and rescue workers administered CPR. The boy was taken to a hospital and then flown to another in critical condition, police said.
Officer Jonathan Perok, a police spokesman, identified the boy as Wesley Pollock. No street address was given.

First my heart goes out to the family. Second I wouldn't say all that. Being a mother of 3 I know how fast kids move and get into stuff and anything can happen in a split second.Third I do agree we must be more vigilent of kids in pools and all areas.

If this was a 'gathering' there must have been some adults present. Why was nobody watching the child when he was in the pool? I'm just waiting to read about the first child of the summer to be left to die in a locked car somewhere. If people can't look after their children they have no business producing them.
