Chris Brown concert for Haiti in VA

By Washington Post editors

Virginia native Chris Brown will host a benefit concert for Haiti in his home state next month.

“Virginia Stand Up! A Call to Action” will be held May 15 at the Siegel Center on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
Brown will be joined by performers Trey Songz, Keri Hilson, T-Pain, Mario, Tank and Juelz Santana.

Proceeds will go to the American Red Cross, Greater Richmond Chapter, to help support their efforts in Haiti, as well as the Central Virginia Food Bank.

Tickets went on sale Monday morning.

Brown was sentenced last year to five years’ probation and six months of community labor for beating his then-girlfriend and fellow pop star Rihanna.
