Dominion night lights could be fire risk
Dominion Virginia Power says night lights it distributed to promote energy conservation could pose a potential fire risk and should be discarded.
The Richmond-based utility gave away about 3,500 of the low-energy night lights from 2007-2010.
Dominion said Friday that it has learned of some incidents related to the night lights, but no injuries were reported. The night lights have not been recalled by the manufacturer.
While the safety problem was duplicated only when the night light became wet, Dominion recommends that they be discarded.
