Fairfax police get their man
Fairfax County police say they've caught a man who fled the courthouse in the middle of his trial.
Twenty-six-year-old Dominique Ashley Childs was on trial for charges of burglary, grand larceny and receiving stolen property in Fairfax County Court. When the trial recessed for lunch Tuesday, authorities say Childs ran out of the courthouse and didn't return.
Police issued warnings that Childs was potentially armed and dangerous and spent days searching for him.
Police say county detectives and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Childs at an acquaintance's home in Arlington County without incident on Friday.
