Free fishing days coming to Virginia
The first weekend in June has been declared free fishing days in Virginia.
Virginia Marine Resources Commission head Steve G. Bowman says state licenses won’t be required June 4 through June 6 for recreational fishing in saltwaters and freshwaters, except in designated trout waters.
But fishing regulations will remain in effect.
Bowman says the weekend will be a good opportunity to discover the joy of fishing and boating.
