More than 250 members of the Marching Royal Dukes will depart Dec. 27 for London's 25th New Year's Day parade. They'll be among 24 marching bands and more than 8,000 performers from around the world.
According to parade organizers, the London parade attracts more than 500,000 spectators.

My high school band did this in 1999. It was a great honor and everyone had a blast. Congrats to the JMU band, enjoy your trip.
