Loudoun newspapers to merge
Two Loudoun newspapers announced Thursday that they are merging their print and online operations.
The Loudoun Times-Mirror and the Loudoun Independent are combining, Peter Arundel, president and chief executive of Times Community News, said in an article posted on LoudounTimes.com.
The Times-Mirror will continue to be published on Wednesday, while the Independent will move to Friday publication.

What will happen to the staff of both newspapers? The Independent had been recently purchased by M.C. Dean Co. Is it being sold to the Times-Mirror? The article is pretty brief. Will the editor of the papers be combined into one position? What about the Independent's publisher -- what happens to her job?
