Man stabbed in Sterling
A man was stabbed and seriously wounded Monday afternoon in the Sterling area of Loudoun County and a search was under way for his assailant, authorities said.
The stabbing occurred around 4 p.m. on Forest Ridge Drive, and the attacker was believed to be on foot in the area, said Kraig Troxell, a spokesman for the county sheriff’s office.
He said authorities believed that the suspect and the victim knew each other. Neither was identified immediately.
The suspect was described as a 27-year-old Hispanic man with light skin, short cropped black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a gray sweater with the lettering “ECKO” on the front.
Anyone who observes any suspicious activity in this area is asked to contact the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at 703-777-1021.
