Man struck by bus in Va. dies

A California man struck by a bus in Woodbridge has died, ABC 7 reports.

Jose Chavez, 18, of Shafter, Calif., was struck Tuesday morning by a Provost Prevost Coach Bus while crossing the intersection of Gideon Drive and Dale Boulevard. He became trapped underneath the bus and was dragged about 50 feet, authorities said.

He died Tuesday morning.

Prince William County police say a man from California became trapped under a bus before being dragged down a street.

Police say the 18-year-old man was crossing the intersection of Gideon Drive and Dale Boulevard in Woodbridge Monday night when he was hit by a Provost Prevost Coach Bus. The bus dragged the man for about 50 feet until it stopped.

The man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. The bus driver was identified as a 48-year-old woman from Florida.

Police are investigating the incident.

This 48 year old bus driver from FLORIDA, has the makings of a METRO employee. WMATA better make an offer to her, before someone else does.

It's a shame that a man died, it's also a shame he snuck into Cali then over to Va.

I assure you, if the driver was from Floriduh, then odds are she is an illegal too.

the man that was hit by the bus is my little cousion.. he is a citizen just as you are so me and my family would appriciate it if there is no more comments left like the one you left.. im sure you were told "if you have nothing nice to say then dont say anything at all!" thank you!
