Police seek identity of pedestrian killed
Fairfax County police are trying to determine the identity of a man who was fatally struck by an SUV early Sunday morning as he was crossing Route 50.
The man was not carrying identification, police said. He was Hispanic, in his mid to late 30s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 200 pounds, He was wearing dark pants, a gray and white striped shirt and white Nike running shoes.
Police said the man was crossing Route 50 near Graham Road about 12:15 a.m. when he was struck by a Honda Pilot. Detectives do not think speed or alcohol played a role in the crash. Charges have not been placed against the driver, a 24-year-old Falls Church area man.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-8477, Fairfax County police at 703-691-2131, or email at www.fairfaxcrimesolvers.org.

obviously, he has been here long enough to become way, way overweight....200 lbs on a 5'8" frame...?....that's a lot of junk food....most illegals are thin as rails when they cross the border

I’m no fan of illegals, have never been to Guatemala, and agree that Hispanics are overrepresented in these highway-crossing and Potomac-swimming fatalities. But these comments strike me as bigoted and tasteless in response to the news that a pedestrian was killed.

Of course he was not carrying identification,
he probably has none. He is probably illegal.

priveye, how can they report if he was illegal if they don't even know who he is.
This is a human you guys are talking about. How do you know he isn't an american citizen? I know of a lot of LEGAL hispanics in Fairfax who's families have been in the country for generations.
Being white does not give you people any special position in society, you guys ate still horrible human beings.

My heart goes out to this guy's family, who is probably wondering where he is right now - why he didn't come home from work or whatever outing.

When will these "hispanics" realize they're not in hideous places like Guatemala anymore, where burros constitute traffic?
And next, even though it's getting cool, another one will drown testing the Potomac at Great Falls.
