Report: Mice in Va. mall's food court
A worker at Fashion Centre at Pentagon City says humans aren't the only ones filling their bellies in the mall’s food court, according to an ABC 7 report.
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, says she’s seen as many as 10 mice scurrying about the court overnight. She provided video captured on her cell phone of mice darting around a frozen yogurt stand.
“Knowing that they’re just right underneath the employees’ feet is just awful,” the woman told the station.
Mall officials told the station that they take pest control very seriously and that they are working with inspectors to fix the problem.

If I were the whistle blower, I'd be very upset that the video reveals enough of her facial features and voice for her employer to figure out who she is - and possibly fire her. ABC 7 should be ashamed of themselves.

In all honesty I feel sorry for the mouse..He has a horrible selection of food coming from that "fashion centre"...Every mall in America has rodents when there's food present; why would you think this one to be different?

They should also report on the birds that live w/in the mall. Next time you are on the upper levels of the mall look (near Williams Sonoma) look down towards the yogurt/smoothie stand and look at the amount of bird droppings on the fake/metal palm trees and the amount of open containers of food directly under those fake trees. Yummy!

Next time you get a frozen yogurt, skip the chocolate sprinkles.

As one that used to work at a restaurant EVERY FOOD ESTABLISHMENT IS DEALING WITH RODENTS (RATS, MICE, ETC.) AND INSECTS (ANTS, ROACHES, ETC.) DON'T LET THE FRONT SIDE OF THE RESTAURANT FOOL YOU!!!!
you can only hope that the staff is true in providing a clean preparation and serving environment. the rodents don't get into the walk-in refrigerators. But the rodents and roaches live off the crumbs and scraps that are not cleaned and left on floors.

They have always had mice. And you don't have to wait for nightfall to see them. Go sit in the foodcourt anytime of the day and you will see them scurry. Bon Apetit!

Um, this is old news. They didn't care back in 2005 when I saw mice running the floor during broad daylight hours so why should they care now?
please...
