Search for suspect in Va. shootings
Authorities are searching for a man who shot and wounded two people as they watched the sunset on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia.
Augusta County Sheriff Randy Fisher says a 27-year-old man from Charlottesville and an 18-year-old woman from Palmyra were shot shortly before 7:45 p.m. Monday as they sat in their car near the Rock Point Overlook, at the parkway’s northern end.
Fisher says the woman is in stable condition and the man is in serious condition at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Police are searching for a red or maroon sedan, possibly a Ford Taurus, driven by a white man with gray, thinning hair. Authorities say the man may be armed with a shotgun and is considered dangerous.
