Loudoun's new team? The Hounds
The group bringing a professional baseball team to Northern Virginia has decided on a name for the ballclub that reflects its new home: the Loudoun Hounds, the Washington Business Journal reports.
Officials of VIP Baseball said the team name and logo reflect Loudoun's equestrian traditions and history. The name was one of three finalists selected from nearly 1,000 original submissions. It received more than 60 percent of the public’s vote in a naming contest.
