Two children killed in Frederick fire
Frederick County authorities are investigating a house fire that killed two children and injured their grandmother.
The Winchester Star reports that 3-year-old Cameron McKenzie and his 4-year-old cousin, Madison Park, died from injuries suffered in the fire, which occurred Tuesday morning at their grandmother’s house in Mountain Falls Park.
Frederick County Fire and Rescue officials say the grandmother, 43-year-old Pam Barbour, remains in critical condition at a Washington hospital.
The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined. Frederick County Assistant Fire Marshal Jay Bauserman says he believes the fire was accidental.
