Va. woman found; man still missing

The Fauquier woman who got separated from her friends after a concert Tuesday and was reported missing has been found, The Virginian-Pilot reports.

Laura Pepe, 26, got separated from her friends after attending a Phish concert in Portsmouth. Her father told authorities Thursday that he has spoken to her and she is safe. She was following the band.

Authorities are still searching for a Spotsylvania man who has not been seen since attending Capital Pride festivities Sunday.

Edward Minnoe, 31, failed to return home with a group of friends who traveled from Spotsylvania to D.C., NBC 4 reports. His family has filed a missing-person report.

Minnoe is white, 5-foot-8 and 135 pounds, with several tattoos. He has an tribal band tattoo on one arm and a tattoo on his leg of the name Luke. He also has several ear piercings. He was last seen wearing a white tank top, plaid brown-and-blue shorts and flip-flops.

Two missing after Pride events, concert

A Spotsylvania man has not been seen since attending Capital Pride festivities Sunday, and a Fauquier County woman disappeared after attending a Phish concert in Portsmouth, Va.

Edward Minnoe, 31, failed to return home with a group of friends who traveled from Spotsylvania to D.C., NBC 4 reports. His family has filed a missing-person report.

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Department said Minnoe and friends had visited Secrets/Ziegfeld's club in Southwest Washington on Sunday night. They left but he decided to stay.

Minnoe is white, 5-foot-8 and 135 pounds, with several tattoos. He has an tribal band tattoo on one arm and a tattoo on his leg of the name Luke. He also has several ear piercings. He was last seen wearing a white tank top, plaid brown-and-blue shorts and flip-flops.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth police are searching for Laura Pepe, 26, who became separated from friends Tuesday after attending a Phish concert, the Virginian-Pilot reports.

Her friends returned to Fauquier County after being unable to find Pepe, who is described as white, with blond hair and blue eyes. She is 5-foot-10 and weighs 145 pounds.

A Virginia Tech student disappeared under similar circumstances in October. Morgan Harrington went missing after a Metallica concert in Charlottesville. Her remains were found in January.

Is this type of ignorant, insensitive, narrow-minded commenting acceptable to The Post?

A "MAN"...whose a son...and in many instances, even a father...gay OR straight...has been missing for four days!!

This "BEING" wouldn't find it so amusing if the person missing was himself or someone he knew!!

What ever happened to us expressing compassion????
