Va. gets $6.38M for storm repair
The Federal Emergency Management Agency says Virginia is getting nearly $6.4 million to fix damage from a nasty storm last December.
The agency says more money is coming later for damage from another bad winter storm in February.
FEMA says the $6.38 million made available Tuesday will go to the state, local governments and certain non-profits to repair and replace damaged facilities as well as snow removal in some instances.
Funding is available in 31 counties and 14 cities including Alexandria, Charlottesville and Roanoke.
