Va. man charged with assault, abduction
A Stafford County man was charged Wednesday with abduction, attempted rape, and other crimes of a woman he had taken to his home, ABC 7 reports.
Stafford County Sheriff's office said they responded to a 911 call to a house in the unit block of Kennesaw Drive, where they found a woman running from the home, naked, screaming, and covered with blood. Then Joseph Broadway, 46, came out of the home, where he was arrested and taken into custody.
According to the sheriff's office, the woman agreed to go to Broadway's home but when she refused to have sex with him he allegedly assaulted her.
The woman was taken to the hospital where she was treated for a broken arm and lacerations.
