Va. records 2 more heat-related deaths
Virginia health officials said Monday that the chief medical examiner's office has confirmed two more heat-related deaths, bringing the state's total so far this summer to five. Officials declined to offer specific details about the individuals except to say the deaths occurred in the central region, which includes Richmond.
That brings the total of heat-related deaths in the region to 19: Maryland has reported 13 heat deaths and the District has reported one.
