Va. red-light cameras delayed 1 week

By Washington Post editors

Arlington has delayed by one week the planned use of new red-light cameras at four intersections.

The cameras that were to be activated on Monday instead will go into use at 12:01 a.m. on June 21. For the first 30 days violators will receive a warning rather than a citation. After that they will be fined $50.

The cameras will located at eastbound Lee Highway and North Lynn Street; southbound Fort Myer Drive and westbound Lee Highway; westbound Lee Highway at Washington Boulevard; and northbound Glebe Road at Fairfax Drive.
