A woman who rented a room at a Stafford County Howard Johnson motel has refused to leave and is holding sheriff's deputies at bay, WUSA 9 reports.

Hotel management called the Stafford County Sheriff's Department after the woman refused to leave after checkout time. A sheriff's deputy knocked on the door. The deputy heard what he thought was a shotgun being racked.

The deputy backed away and called for backup.
