Stafford County barricade ends peacefully
UPDATE:
The Stafford County Sheriff's Department says that the reported barricade situation at the Howard Johnson motel has ended peacefully. A preliminary search indicated that the woman who had refused to leave the room did not have a weapon.

A woman who rented a room at a Stafford County Howard Johnson motel has refused to leave and is holding sheriff's deputies at bay, WUSA 9 reports.
Hotel management called the Stafford County Sheriff's Department after the woman refused to leave after checkout time. A sheriff's deputy knocked on the door. The deputy heard what he thought was a shotgun being racked.
The deputy backed away and called for backup.
