Woman killed in Israel had ties to Va.
An American killed in an attack in Israel is said to have ties to Northern Virginia, WUSA 9 reports.
Kristine Luken was stabbed to death while hiking on a trail Saturday outside of Jerusalem. Her friend, Kaye Wilson, survived by pretending she was dead.
Luken had been working with The Church's Ministry among Jewish People, also known as CMJ. Officials from the organization said she had been living in the United Kingdom for several years, but listed herself as an American citizen from Virginia.

She and her twin sister graduated from SLHS in Reston in 1984. I remember them as always smiling and laughing. Great folks. RIP....
