Metro train hits equipment on the tracks
UPDATE:
Metro say the Glenmont, Wheaton and Forest Glen stations have reopened. A train hit track equipment on a track between the Glenmont and Forest Glen stations. Metro says the equipment was not a vehicle.
Track inspection is now underway. Trains are now single-tracking between Glenmont and Silver Spring.
Three MoCo Metro stations closed
12:01 a.m.
Metro now says that Wheaton, Glenmont and Forest Glen stations are all closed.
11:47 p.m.
Metro says there is debris on the tracks between Wheaton and Glenmont.
11:40 a.m.
Metro says the Wheaton and Glenmont stations are closed due to a situation outside Wheaton. Shuttle bus service has been requested between the two stations.
