Woman raped in Alexandria
A 22-year-old woman was raped early Tuesday morning along Duke Street, about two blocks from the King Street Metro Station, WJLA reports.
Alexandria police said the woman was walking in the 1600 block of Duke Street just after midnight Tuesday when a man grabbed her. The man had a box cutter and forced her into an alley, where he sexually assaulted her, police said.

what, so now we blame rape victims for not carrying a gun? that is preposterous. not everyone wants to carry a gun, and we should have that option... and the right to not be raped. grow up and keep your yahooism out of this. plus, if you knew anything, you would know that when women carry weapons they are often used against them in the commission of a crime. if you are overpowered, how the hell do you just reach for your piece? think it through, people.

freaking animal. women in VA if you have to walk alone at night, you have the option of purchasing, learning how to use, and carrying loaded firearms. It you are approached by an animal with a box cutter in VA, it is perfectly within your rights to aim directly at his crotch, say, "you won't be raping any women ever again pond scum" and pulling the trigger. Now, wouldn't that be a better solution?
