U-Md. vs. Duke: Send us tweets, photos, videos

After last year's 79-72 victory -- and ensuing riots -- following a matchup with then-No. 4 Duke, University of Maryland officials will attempt to keep a close eye on students as the rival schools come face-to-face again tonight.

In effort to quell unruly behavior -- which in College Park last year included arrests, fires and the traditional Terps cheer of "HEY, YOU SUCK!" -- the school is hosting a pre-game pep rally and a post-game bonfire. Coach Gary Williams will speak at the rally and said he hopes the students will focus on the game rather than related festivities.

"What we're trying to do, and rightly so, is to focus on the game this year and not all the stuff that happens after the game ... This is a great game. And we want to make sure that students understand this is part of being a college student - to be able to go to a game like this."

What are you seeing?

Update from Lori's A.M. Buzz: All was quiet in College Park Wednesday night. Officials at the University of Maryland had made a special effort to avoid the kind of post-game mayhem that engulfed the area following last year's Terps victory over Duke in basketball. Their efforts were helped by the fact the Terps were defeated by the Blue Devils 80 to 62.
