Streetcars may be back from the dead

Politics is happening fast today. First the D.C. Council voted to strip funding for the H Street streetcar, but an inundation of calls from the public and some heroic politicking by streetcar supporters on the council (especially Jim Graham, Jack Evans and Tommy Wells) resulted in a deal to restore most of the funding that was cut.
