Metro map makeover in the cards

WTOP's Adam Tuss reports that the WMATA system map, as iconic a piece of modern Washingtoniana as there is, will be undergoing some big changes in the near future to accommodate the expansion to Dulles International Airport and (sigh) potentially longer station names. (For example: ANC 6D is considering changing the name of L'Enfant Plaza to L'Enfant Plaza/Banneker Memorial.) There are some interesting tidbits in Tuss' report -- like the fact that silver has not yet been officially selected as the color of the line going to Dulles ... .
