You can count on Pepco

By Jerilyn Schweitzer, Bethesda

I would like to offer my congratulations to the executives at Pepco for bringing more certainty into the lives of their customers. Now, in addition to death and taxes, we can be sure of prolonged power outages.

From the news images it would appear that montco causes most of its own problems wrt power outages. Every reported instance that I saw featured trees as the root cause of the failure.

Let pepco cut the trees back so they can never fall on a power line and all y'all will have much better reliability.

vepco has apparently conceded that its reliability will never improve as it has been pushing automatic emergency generator use for many years now.

montco residents need to get real about what is possible under the constraints that pepco operates.

If pepco tried to meet the governors ridiculous demands the rates would have to soar to equally ridiculous levels for pepco to be able to do it.
