Crime blotter: Burglaries

Authorities are investigating several burglaries and larcenies throughout the county, according to daily reports from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Destruction of Property: A passenger window of a vehicle in the 330 block of Silver Ridge Drive in Sterling was damaged and a cell phone was removed from the vehicle between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

Larceny from Vehicle: A purse and its contents were taken from a vehicle in the 20200 block of Kiawah Island Drive in Ashburn sometime between Sunday and Wednesday.

Destruction of Property: Exterior lights of a home in the 19940 block of Belmont Station Drive in Ashburn were damaged between 4 p.m. Monday and 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Destruction of Property/Attempted Breaking & Entering: An unknown person attempted to gain entry into the glass window of a CVS pharmacy in the 42990 block of Eastern Kingbird Plaza in Ashburn around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday. No entry was gained.

Larceny: Two digital cameras and camera equipment were taken from the 14200 block of Milltown Road in Lovettsville on Saturday at midnight.

Burglary: Someone entered a home in the 20480 block of Blue Heron Terrace in Sterling between 3:30 p.m. May 8 and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and removed jewelry. There were no signs of forced entry.

Robbery: A night clerk at a hotel in the 45300 block of Catalina Court in Sterling was robbed at knifepoint shortly after midnight on Wednesday. The suspect wielded a knife and demanded money. He was described as Hispanic, 5-feet-8-inches tall with a thin to medium build. The suspect had his face covered.

Destruction of Property: Possible gang-related graffiti was spray painted on a sidewalk in the area of Mandolin Street and Brandshaw Drive shortly before noon on Monday. The report was forwarded to the Sheriff's Office Gang Intelligence Unit.

Larceny: Copper wire spools were taken from a construction site in the 26100 block of Lightridge Farm Road in Aldie between 5:30 p.m. on Monday and 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Burglary: Someone entered a home in the 18600 block of Foundry Road in Hamilton between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday and rummaged through the residence. Nothing was reported missing.

Larceny: A GPS unit was removed from a vehicle in the 21070 block of Gladstone Drive in Sterling at around 7 a.m. on Monday. Entry was gained by damaged a passenger window.

Larceny: Someone entered a vehicle in the 20060 block of Muirfield Village Court in Ashburn sometime between 11 p.m. Monday and 12:30 a.m. Tuesday and removed a purse and its contents.

Burglary: The front door of a home in the 35400 block of Charles Town Pike in Purcellville was forced open and jewelry was removed on Monday between 7 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Burglary: Someone entered a home in the 39500 block of Wenner Road in Lovettsville between 6:15 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. on Monday and took five firearms.
