Crime blotter: Felony assault, DUI
Authorities are investigating several assaults, two DUI charges and the theft of a motorcycle, according a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Larceny from a Vehicle: A portable DVD player was taken from a vehicle in the 21060 block of Hawthorne Court in Sterling between 10 p.m. May 13 and noon on Friday.
Felonious Assault: Deputies responded to a report of an active fight in the 500 block of Tavenner Court in Sterling on Friday between 6 and 6:30 p.m. The altercation, which was domestic in nature, involved someone who had assaulted two females. Stephen G. Fant, 19, of Alexandria, was charged with two counts of felonious assault, felony assault and battery and possession of false identification. He remains held without bond.
Destruction of Property: A brick wall in the 50 block of Cedar Drive in Sterling was damaged by a vehicle between midnight on May 13 and 6:45 a.m. Saturday.
Larceny: Someone entered two vehicles in the 46500 block of River Meadows Terrace in Sterling and removed cash, a GPS unit and a purse between 4 p.m. Friday and 7:15 a.m. Saturday.
Larceny: A purse was stolen from a vehicle in the 20900 block of Sandstone Square in Sterling between 11 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday.
Destruction of Property: Someone spray painted a utility box in the 20190 block of Carter Court in Sterling between 10:25 and 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Burglary: A purse was taken from a home in the 700 block of Brethour Court in Sterling and was later found discarded in the neighborhood. Cash and a cell phone were removed. The incident occurred between 9 and 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Theft of a Motorcycle: A 2002 Suzuki GSX-R750 was taken from the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 45180 block of Waterpointe Terrace in Ashburn between noon on May 13 and 11:06 a.m. Friday.
Larceny: A safe that contained cash was taken from a business in the 21600 block of Beaumeade Circle in Ashburn between 8 p.m. on May 13 and 6:45 a.m. Friday. There were no signs of forced entry.
Destruction of Property: Two vehicles in the 21160 block of Hayshire Court in Ashburn were vandalized between midnight and 12:45 a.m. on Saturday.
Pursuit/DUI/Driving on a Suspended: A deputy saw a vehicle traveling erratically in the area of Route 7 near Belmont Ridge Road shortly before 2 a.m. on Saturday. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle continued to drive. At one point the vehicle nearly struck another car. The driver eventually stopped at Route 7 and George Washington Boulevard. Marijuana was found inside the vehicle. The driver, Justin W. Ellers, 27, of Sterling, was charged with felony eluding, felony DUI, possession with intent to distribute and driving without a license.
Burglary: Someone entered Good Fortune restaurant in the 43300 block of Junction Plaza in Ashburn and removed cash from a cash register between 11 p.m. on Saturday and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Larceny: A GPS unit, an MP3 player and a cell phone were all taken from three vehicles in the 43500 block of Butler Plaza in Leesburg between midnight Saturday and midnight Sunday.
Larceny from a Vehicle: A GPS unit and satellite radio unit were taken from a vehicle in the 25970 block of Krebs Lane in Chantilly between 9:30 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
Larceny: Someone entered a vehicle in the 43640 block of Scarlet Square in Chantilly between 9 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday and removed a GPS unit.
Sobriety Checkpoint: A sobriety checkpoint was held on Route 9 near Old Stage Court in Waterford between 10:55 p.m. on Friday and 1:05 a.m. Saturday. One person was charged with DUI. Three other motorists were charged with driving without a license.
Larceny: Wheels were removed from a trailer in the driveway of a home in the 11820 block of Purcell Road in Lovettsville between noon on May 9 and 5 p.m. Friday.
Destruction of Property: A window of a home on North Light Street in Lovettsville was damaged shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday. The resident looked outside their window at the time of the incident and saw several unknown juveniles running from the area. No juveniles were found in the area.
Burglary: A television and DVD player were stolen from a home in the 38750 block of Old Wheatland Road in Waterford between noon and 5 p.m. on Sunday. There were no signs of forced entry. A door was left unsecured.
