Bulldogs Spike Valley in Season Opener
The Stone Bridge volleyball team swept Loudoun Valley in the season opener for both teams over the weekend, 25-0, 25-19, 25-19.
The reigning AAA Liberty District champion Bulldogs (1-0) were led by Christine Beckman's 14 kills, 8 digs and 4 points. Amanda Miller had 28 assists and 4 blocks, Lindsay Gill added 22 digs, 5 points and 4 aces, Alex Heyn had 6 kills and 2 blocks and Alexis Chism chipped in 7 points and 4 kills. Ryan Ackerman had 6 points and 5 kills and Amy Christensen put up 16 points and 9 digs.
Stone Bridge travels to Sherando tonight while the Vikings (0-1) host Forest Park on Saturday.
