Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium

Throughout the season, Navy will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. This Saturday's game against Western Kentucky comes exactly 50 years after the first game at the stadium, which was a Navy victory over William & Mary on Sept. 26, 1959.

The Midshipmen will wear throwback jerseys for this Saturday's game. Members of the 1959 team that beat William and Mary, 29-2, will be honored at halftime, and a 1959-themed tailgate, featuring vintage cars from that era, will be held at NavyFest. The first 5,000 fans at the game will receive a commemorative poster.
