Mystics To Name Plank New Head Coach

At 1:30 p.m. the Mystics will name long-time assistant coach Julie Plank the 11th head coach in Washington's history. Plank spent the 2008 season as an assistant with the Minnesota Lynx, which was where newly appointed General Manager Angela Taylor spent the past two years.

During her 24-year career as an assistant coach, Plank amassed a 510-243 record. She was an assistant coach and director of scouting with the Indiana Fever from 2000-2007 seasons.

I'll have more after the press conference but read Plank's full bio here.

24 years as an assistant?

This next year is going to be Palin-esque.
