Melvin Returns to Mystics

The Mystics just announced that they've signed center Chasity Melvin, who spent parts of four seasons with Washington before being traded to Chicago for Monique Currie at the start of the 2007 season.

You can read the team's full release here.

By signing the 10-year veteran, the Mystics addressed one of their primary off-season needs in acquiring a reliable post presence that can continue to guide Crystal Langhorne in her second season as well as Nakia Sanford, who was inconsistent much of last season when she was given the starting center role.
