Coleman Injured, Mystics Re-sign Mann
Rookie Marissa Coleman suffered a high ankle sprain over the weekend that will likely cause her to miss four to six weeks. Through three games, Coleman has been a dynamic presence for the undefeated Mystics averaging 12.7 points per game in 23.3 minutes per game as a key cog in Coach Julie Plank's system.
To help fill the void left by Coleman's absence, Washington released rookie center Josephine Owino, who was the only player drafted in the third round to make a WNBA roster out of training camp, and re-signed forward Kristen Mann.
I'll have more from practice this afternoon.

Looks like the Mystics' first piece of adversity has arrived. Now, we'll see how this team handles a serious injury. Get well soon, 'Rissa!

UGGHHH... One positive can be brought out of this! MO has to step up or give Rissa her number back! I just knew we would have our 3rd rookie of the year for this team but being out 4 to 6 weeks is going to hurt that chance and more so the scoring punch she brings. I feel like her rebounding was coming along and she was looking for other teammates to get her assists up! I have a feeling she is coming back with avengance though and if we can go like 7-3(over the next 4-6 weeks) we will be in a good position when she gets back and she wont feel the need to rush **cough cough gilbert arenas** !
Please keep the Wizards off the court and away from the mystics before he injury bug runs crazy on them as well!
Get well soon Rissa and we are still looking forward to you helping making us a championship team and you STILL winning rookie of the year when you return! Just start taking everyone to the hoop and hit fadeaway jumpers in all the olympians faces!

Blast...just when the Mystics are getting off to the best start in their history, this happens...she was really growing into the big-league game fast and contributing big-time and will be very difficult to replace...hope the rest of the team can hold the fort but it won't be easy...GET WELL SOON #4!
