Two more cuts
According to General Manager's Twitter account (@MysticsGM_AT) Washington cut two more players today, guard Alexis-Gray Lawson and forward Lauren Ervin.
Gray-Lawson was Washington's third-round pick in the 2010 draft, but with so much depth at guard she was facing steep odds to make the team. Washington signed Ervin as a free agent during the offseason, but in the on-going battle among post players apparently didn't stand out enough. She played just under nine minutes in the Mystics' preseason game against the New York Liberty.
Here's Taylor's tweet:
MysticsGM_AT: I know you all are wondering who we cut, we cut two GREAT young ladies in Alexis Gray-Lawson & Lauren Ervin.
So for all the budding GMs out there, who do you think will make the Mystics' final roster? Remember there are only 11 spots and the injured Alana Beard will be one of them.
