And now, the lineups
I still can't believe I'm doing this. But here are the lineups for Intrasquad Game 2. (Yesterday, I labelled them "Home" and "Away," I think. Actually, they're "Red" and "Blue," even though they're both wearing the exact same uniforms. I'd like to see "Shirts" and "Skins," particularly if Ray King was pitching.)
Your Red Nationals:
Felipe Lopez -- 2B
Cristian Guzman -- DH (2007 intrasquad batting average: .500)
Ryan Zimmerman -- 3B
Austin Kearns -- RF
Ryan Church -- LF
Larry Broadway -- 1B
Josh Wilson -- SS
Nook Logan -- CF
Jesus Flores -- C
Your Blue Nationals:
Bernie Castro -- 2B
Ronnie Belliard -- 3B (not what he plays in the majors, but where he plays in the Dominican Winter League)
Alex Escobar -- DH
Robert Fick -- 1B (hasn't taken a grounder all spring, as he's worked with the catchers)
Darnell McDonald -- CF
Chris Snelling -- LF
D'Angelo Jimenez -- SS
Frank Diaz -- RF
Juan Brito -- C
Brian Schneider will appear later on as a DH. Pitchers are Tim Redding and Jerome Williams, both legitimate contenders for the rotation. Game starts at 11 a.m. I'm not heading over to the minor league side today (man, did Chris Marrero put on a show in batting practice there yesterday), so I just might be able to provide a few more in-game updates.
(Terps-Blue Devils tonight, by the way.)
