Welcome to Dodgertown

Not much commentary here today. I'll give you a few updates, no doubt. But there's a certain television program I want to watch at around 6 p.m. The one day of the spring when I'll take Bracketology over baseball.

Dodgertown: Still great. (In Viera, even better?) Beautiful day. It's Fan Appreciation Day or Autograph Day or some such thing, so there were just tons of fans on the field hanging out for autographs from their favorite Dodgers. The PA announcer (who, like everyone in Vero Beach, is at least 75) said into the mic, "It's now 12:35, five minutes after you were supposed to move off the field, so please find your seats." He shut the mic off, and said half to himself, "Get the hell off the field."

So there's that.

Your lineups:

Washington
Bernie Castro -- 4
D'Angelo Jimenez -- 6
Ryan Church -- 7
Austin Kearns -- 9
Brian Schneider -- 2
Michael Restovich -- DH
Travis Lee -- 1B
Ronnie Belliard -- 3B
Nook Logan -- CF

Chris Michalak -- LHP

Los Angeles:
Choo Freeman -- 7
Juan Pierre -- 8
James Loney -- 3
Jeff Kent -- 4
Luis Gonzalez -- DH
Andre Ethier -- 9
Wilson Betemit -- 5
Kelly Stinnett -- C
Wilson Valdez -- 6

Brad Penny -- RHP

News: More cuts tomorrow. A few guys. Manny Acta originally said the 13th, but that's the only off day of the spring, so they're not going to call guys in so they can cut them.

Guzman: Five more innings in the "B" game back in Viera today at shortstop. Went 1 for 3 with an infield single and a stolen base. Looks like Mike Hinckley, former top prospect, got shelled up there.

(Tommy Lasorda now walking across the field. A few people clapped. He waved. But the interesting thing: The clapping stopped, but Lasorda kept waving. Man, he loves being part of this show.)

That would be all for now. Thanks for stopping by.
